Hi, I'm Sophie. I built Mother World to give you practical, realistic, personalised support from pregnancy through parenthood, helping you understand your choices, build confidence and feel fully supported along the way.

Hi, I'm Sophie
The mother behind A Mother World, because when you become a mum, suddenly you're in another world...A Mother World.
As a mum of two, I know that pregnancy, birth and early parenthood can feel exciting, overwhelming, lonely, confusing and full of questions. And no, I didn't have two 'perfect' births or a really amazing antenatal group full of wonderful birth stories and long lasting friendships - more about that on my 'About' page.
That's why I created A Mother World: a place where parents feel:

I combine personal experience with evidence-based tools, to help you feel calm, confident and informed, with personal support every step of the way.
I have years of experience supporting families, building genuine, lasting relationships along the way. It’s a real privilege that so many families return to me for support as they welcome their next baby.

Charity Donations &
Pay It Forward
Kindness is a huge part of A Mother World, and I want that to extend beyond the families I work with directly.
I donate a percentage of A Mother World profits to charities close to my heart, including Tommy's, which funds research and provides trusted support around pregnancy and baby loss.
This is particularly personal to me. After supporting a close friend through baby loss, and working with many families who are pregnant after loss, it's a cause I'll always care deeply about.
I also offer a Pay It Forward option when you book a course.
If you'd like to, you can add any amount to a pot that helps another family access A Mother World support when cost might otherwise stand in their way.
I reduce these places to cover my costs only, which means the money in the pot can help as many families as possible.
There's absolutely no pressure or expectation to contribute. It's simply there if you'd like to sprinkle a little kindness into someone else's world.
